Campus Week 2022
From crochet for a cause to painting a murder scene, there are more than 90 events in store at our very first Campus Week.
It’s time for students and faculty of Azim Premji University to come together, reignite old friendships, find new ones, build our community, and get excited about all that we can do in the year ahead.
We are very excited about our very first campus week. More than 90 events are planned and it kicks off on Monday. Talk about beating the Monday blues!
Come see what the clubs are doing this year at the club mela. You can even start your own.
We will have a basketball workshop, a theatre workshop, cricket workshop, a table tennis tournament, amongst others. Go on a treasure hunt, learn some recipes at the cooking class, and crochet for a cause.
Engage in cubing, cycle maintenance, dialogues, drums workshop, and much more.
Enjoy painting faces, faculty talks, farm visits, gardening, lab demos, lake walks, microwave mug cakes, mixed lunches, painting murder scenes, pot painting, staff vs. students football matches, great chaat chats, yarn bombing?
You wouldn’t want to miss campus this week, then.

MONDAY UPDATES (08 Aug 2022)
Hope you had a good first day of classes and Campus week.
For all those who couldn’t make it to the field yesterday (08 Aug 2022), here’s the update on the Staff-Faculty Vs Students football match held yesterday:
The Staff-Faculty Team emerged victorious while the students put up an amazing fight. The Staff-Faculty Team played 3 games in total, one against the third-year, second- year, and first-year students each.
The results of the respective matches are as follows:
- With both teams holding their sides well, the match against the third-year students ended in a goalless tie.
- The game against second-year students was the most favourable to the Faculty— a glorious 2 – 0 win.
- The first-year students put up a strong game against the elated Staff-Faculty Team and finished the match at 0 – 0.
If you missed it yesterday, don’t worry! More such fun installations will continue to happen throughout the year.
TUESDAY UPDATES (09 Aug 2022)
Today is Ultimate day! If you’re new to the sport of Ultimate frisbee and want to just learn how to hold the disc, we have some enthusiastic players waiting to teach you. Be at the field today, at 5 PM.
On the other hand, if you’ve already mastered the craft of throwing a disc then come join us for a game of Ultimate.
Also, Zumba will be happening tomorrow.
Kindly note the change in timings: It is from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the usual spot.
See you all at the field today. Remember to drink water, eat well and take rest, and more importantly, have fun.
WEDNESDAY UPDATES (10 Aug 2022)
Finally, the event which we have been waiting for eagerly is to be hosted today. Set your alarms, and be there at the Hinge by 3 PM. Grab your friends while you come.
Also, this is the place where you are going to meet new people. From making friends to bonding over FRIENDS, join us and chat with faculty over chaat!
Today’s Zumba session will happen at B3 — the space between B3 and SH1. Please note that the session today is at 5:30 PM.
Also, the field is open for all sports today. So, you can just pick your favourite sports and join along.
Strength and Conditioning Update
Welcome back to the regulars! Sid will be super excited to see more familiar faces at B5 tomorrow. Siddarth’s Strength and Conditioning session will be from 5:30 to 6:30 PM on Thursday, 11 Aug 2022.
If you don’t know Sid, come and join the session tomorrow. If you already know him, then drop by to say hi.
With yet another amazing event in store for you, we request you to buckle up and prepare yourselves for a heavy dose of talent from our beloved faculty!
Don’t forget to drop by at the Hinge from 5:30 – 7 PM today (10 August 2022) for ‘Faculty Unplugged’. Let’s come together for some good music and fun. You definitely don’t want to miss this one.
