Preparing for science teaching is not the same as learning science. As a part of this dual degree programme, as a science student, you will learn science content; as a student of education, you will learn about the theory of pedagogic practice. This course is designed to help you explore the connect between content and pedagogy and introduce you to the process of science teaching. This will be done by exploring broad topics such as energy, forces, and several other concepts, looking at school science as one subject rather than physics, chemistry and biology. It will also provide an opportunity to plan assessments for the teaching plans you generate.
