Somak is a former Gandhi Fellow and a TISS alumni. He has done his Bachelors in Computer Science. During his prior assignments, Somak has worked as a content developer. Later, as a Gandhi Fellow, he was providing leadership and pedagogical training to the teachers of primary schools in the villages of Uttarakhand. Post his Gandhi Fellowship, he pursued Masters in Social Work with specialization in Counseling. Subsequently, he worked in the fields of Human Rights protection and livelihood projects. He aims to engage with youth and guide them to achieve success in their own fields of interest. He comes with an experience of Counseling, Field Research, Community Engagement and Youth Engagement.
He enjoys traveling, eating, playing, and engaging with the youth and mentoring them.
Currently, he is a part of the Resident Faculty Team and coordinating the Social Enterprise Cell.
