Biography

Neha started her career as a teacher at Parikrma Humanity Foundation, Bengaluru which gave her an opportunity to work with underprivileged children. Working with them helped her seek answers to questions concerning accessibility and quality of education and inspired her to become an educator.

Prior to joining Azim Premji University, she worked with Key Education Foundation, an NGO in Bengaluru, as a Programme Manager. Her work primarily focused on implementing the school readiness programme, programming teacher capacity and professional development of in-service and pre-service teachers in low-fee private pre-schools.

As a teacher trainer, she conducted various need-based workshops and designed early mathematics training modules for teachers.

She has engaged in an intervention study in the Early Years Classroom (ages 4 – 6) to understand what skills are required to learn mathematics, how young children acquire number sense, and experiences that help young children learn mathematics.

She has a Master’s Degree in Education (MA in Education) from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru.

She practices Buddhism and enjoys observing children, reading spiritual books, and listening to music.
