Biography

Mrityunjay is a part of the Translations Initiative at the University. 

After finishing his MA in Hindi Literature, Mrityunjay completed his PhD from Allahabad University in the study of the process of canonisation in Hindi criticism, in 2011

Since 2012, he has taught at various educational institutions like Gautam Buddha University (GBU), Uttar Pradesh; Ravenshaw University, Odisha and Ambedkar University, Delhi. He developed and taught different core and elective courses.

Apart from core Hindi Literature courses and compulsory courses like Foundation Hindi, some of the elective courses that he taught include Bhartiya evam vishwa sahitya (Indian and World Literature), Introduction to Dalit literature through poetry (bilingual course), Sahitya mein samaanya aur manovikshep ki samajh (Understanding the normative and madness in literature), Literatures of the East: India and Arabia, Lyrical pasts: Poetry from the Indo-Islamic millennium and comparative Ghalib (bilingual course).
