Mahuya is a part of the Institute of Assessment and Accreditation(IAA) team associated with the School of Continuing Education and University Resource centre(SCE-URC).
She is Developing courses and modules on assessment and specific subjects, designing large scale assessment and conducting training workshops for teachers and teacher-educators is her primary area of research.
A postgraduate in Geography from Calcutta University, she also has a degree in Teachers’ Training (Bachelor of Education) from Calcutta University. Before joining Azim Premji Foundation in 2009 as a subject specialist (Geography), she has been a teacher for more than 12 years, in various schools in Bangalore and Kolkata, at the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels – teaching students of national and international boards.
Student assessment is a critical aspect of the teaching and learning process that helps to systematically improve the quality of students’ learning through improved programs, curricula and teaching.
This 5 day course develops a deeper understanding of what the outcomes of education, across stages and subjects, ought to be.
