Biography
John Kurien is a visiting faculty with the School of Development.
Activist and researcher. Organised small-scale fishing community cooperatives in India and worked with fishers in other countries. Founder of the International Collective in Support of Fishworkers. Former Professor, Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum. Former UN/FAO Senior Fisheries Management Advisor in Cambodia and Indonesia. Currently, Honorary Fellow, WorldFish Centre, Penang, Malaysia
