Operations Officer – Placement Cell

We invite applications for the role of Operations Officer for our Student Placement Cell. 

This role is part of the Placement Cell which is committed towards providing opportunities for students to be meaningfully engaged in the social sector and contribute to the building of a better society. The placement cell rigorously works towards building career preparedness among students, doing extensive outreach and hosting recruiting organisations on campus.


  • Strategizing, developing and executing annual plans of campus placement process.
  • Continuous interaction with students and functions of the University for smooth operation of campus placement.
  • Supporting student orientation and career counselling workshops / events meant for placement.
  • Mobilising and mentoring students to take part in placement process and volunteer to support its operation.
  • Providing on ground operational support in the placement process.
  • Supporting the MIS team in upgrading the present system and utilizing the analysis to improve operation.
  • Networking with more resource persons / teams to provide support to students in building their preparedness for the placement and sector.
  • Supporting the placement outreach team with organisation interfaces and hosting them on campus.
  • Visiting to the placement organisations to provide on field support and extended mentoring to placed students.
  • Follow up with present and past recruiters to take feedback on quality of engagement of our students.
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders for successful placement operation.
  • Representation of the University in outreach events.
  • Master’s degree in Development / Social Work / Education / Economics / Public Policy / Sociology / Business Administration any or equivalent.
  • 5 – 7 years of program / operations management in academic setting or program management in social sector.
  • Experience of program designing and implementation.
  • Experience of working in a team in a formal space and managing stakeholders. 
  • Experience of working with youth (working with students in an academic setting will be considered as an advantage)
  • Efficient in handling MS Office applications
  • Open to rigorous travels 
  • Experience in managing professional social media platforms such as but not limited to LinkedIn.
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi and knowledge of any regional language.
  • Experience of working with multiple and diverse players such as NGOs, Govt agencies, thinktanks, corporates, CSRs etc will be an added advantage.
