A Seminar on Early Childhood Education in Kannada

The National Education Policy has laid the ground for an equitable high-quality education and has proposed revamping the education system. This presents us with an opportunity to come together and deliberate on the diverse practices that have shaped ECE, identify approaches that have worked, share research findings, document experiences, and contribute to the field of ECE in India.

The University is organising a three-day seminar (24 – 26 August 2023) with the objective to bring diverse stakeholders together to share their research and work experiences in ECE across multiple settings and contexts. The seminar will have plenary sessions and presentation of papers. These will focus on the three overarching themes of curriculum and pedagogy, school readiness and foundational learning, and teacher professional development.

It will provide a platform for teachers, teacher-educators, supervisors/​administrators, government officials, curriculum developers and those working with children to come together and discuss their work, success stories, challenges, and their learnings.
