In this course, we will understand human behaviour and mental processes through the lens of neuropsychology. We ask, how does the brain control our behaviour and how do we recognise objects, remember experiences, read, speak and reason? How do brain disorders affect us, and how do we come to understand its impact? We will work on understanding the basic organisation of the nervous system, basic functions of all the lobes of the cerebral cortex, and the neuropsychology of higher behavioural functions like language, emotion and consciousness. This course will help you understand the role of neuropsychology in hospitals, research and in schools.
