We invite you to join our faculty in the area of Teacher Education
Azim Premji University was established in 2010 by the Azim Premji Foundation. The
Foundation works extensively with the public school systems in many states in India, with a
clear purpose - to contribute to a just equitable, humane and sustainable society. The
University supports Education and related felds of human development through its
programmes of study that prepare professionals with integrity, competence and social
commitment. Our research programmes contribute to knowledge relevant to these felds.
The University ofers a liberal undergraduate degree in the Sciences, Economics and
Humanities and postgraduate degrees in the felds of Education, Development, Public Policy
and Law & Development.
We invite teacher educators who resonate with the purpose of the
University and are keen to contribute to the design, development and
delivery of our Undergraduate Teacher Education programme (B.Sc.B.Ed)
to join us as faculty.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have prior experience of working with
Teacher Education institutions.
Applicants without experience but meeting the qualifcations are also encouraged to apply
Qualifcations and Academic Record:
- Qualifcations for all positions will be as per the applicable National Council for Teacher
Education (NCTE) norms.
- M.A. or M.Sc. (Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, History, Geography,
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with minimum 55% marks.
- M.Ed with minimum 55% marks.
- NET qualifcation / PhD in Education is mandatory.
