Exploration beyond the classroom

Campus Life

At Azim Premji University, we believe that learning is a process that extends beyond the classroom.

You will have the chance to build meaningful relationships and learn to live with people who come from different places and backgrounds. Our vibrant campus always has something to do.

Glimpses of Yakshagana Performance — The Slaying of Abhimanyu

Presented by Theatre Yaksha from Udupi at the Amphitheatre, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, this unique performance explores the poignant story of child hero Abhimanyu, whose brutal killing on the treacherous battlefield is one of the most tragic moments of the epic Mahabharata. The colourful and energetic performance brings to life the world of mythology while at the same time reminding us of the contemporary concerns about war and its victims.

World Environment Day celebration

We celebrated World Environment Day from 1 – 5 June 2023 with a collective aim to increase awareness about the environment and work towards a sustainable future.

Creative Expressions

We all relate to the world not only through intellect but also with our bodies and creative abilities. The Creative Expressions course at Azim Premji University is a set of courses and workshops, where you will explore aesthetic, physical, and expressive traditions.

Students choose workshops in art, music, theatre, dance, and sports or fitness. They will develop a guided self-study and choose to learn a sport, art, or craft. You could make a performance, produce a piece of work or build a portfolio.

At the end of the Creative Expressions course, the students put up a Mela for the University Community. Here, noted artist Suresh Kumar introduces the recent CRX Mela put up at the campus.

Celebrating Colours of Different Abilities

The University celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 6 December 2022 with a theme that stands very close to the mission and vision of Azim Premji University, i.e., Transformative solutions for inclusive development: The role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world.
