ICMR has drawn up a revised strategy for COVID-19 testing in India. These are guidelines
which define the categories of people who have to be tested for COVID-19.

MOHFW has issued an order which has revised the categorization of districts as
hotspots/red zones/orange zones and green zones.

MOHFW has released a revised advisory on the use of Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as prophylaxis
for COVID-19 infection. In the earlier advisory issued on 23rd March 2020, high risk
population like asymptomatic Healthcare Workers involved in the care of suspected or
confirmed cases of COVID-19 and asymptomatic household contacts of laboratory confirmed
cases of COVID-19 were placed under chemoprophylaxis with HCQ. Now an additional category
of police/paramilitary personnel
involved in COVID-19 related activities are also placed under chemoprophylaxis with HCQ.
