1.Dhwani Foundation, in partnership with FEVORD-K and its local member NGOs have come together
to work with the Karnataka Government to set up shelter facilities for migrant labourers and
developed a guidebook ‘Covid – 19: A practical handbook on Setting up Community Shelter Homes
for Migrant workers’. This document focuses on setting up and running shelter homes for severely
affected migrant workers by upholding their dignity and quality of life amidst Covid-19 crisis.

2.Dept. of Labour, Employment & Training, Govt. of Jharkhand Department has established Covid-19 Response
Team (control room at State Secretariat, Nepal House) being managed by PACS Network – Phia Foundation.
Key objective the Response Team has been to register the calls, identify the place of
transit point/ stay location and list down the issues being faced currently across other
states through toll free helpline numbers. Everyday call details are categorized state- and
district-wise and shared from the State government to the concerned state for immediate actions.
The state administration is trying to facilitate the people of Jharkhand who are stuck at
different places by providing basic services – health care,
shelter and food supply through the concerned state (at the point of current stay).
