WOMEN IN SCIENCE: A CAREER IN SCIENCE
The issue of under-representation of women in science is being seen with a great deal of concern all over the world. To address this issue, the Council of the Indian Academy of Sciences had in constituted a committee on "Women in Science" which later lead to the formation of the Panel for "Women in Science" (WiS) to carry out recommendations made by the committee and to suggest measures for obtaining suitable solutions.
"Women in Science : A Career in Science” is a lecture workshop being organized by Women in Science (WiS) panel and the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru in association with Azim Premji University, Bengaluru under the “WiS: a Career in Science" programme.
