Summer School on Technical Writing

A Technical Writing Summer School is being jointly delivered by the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association (IHEPA) and the Health, Development and Society Initiative (HDSI) at the Azim Premji University between June 6-10, 2016. The Summer School is aimed at Ph.D scholars/ researchers and young teachers engaged in research on applied health economics and health policy issues. The primary objective of the Summer School is to orient participants to research issues currently relevant to the health care system in India. Further, how these issues can be brought into the public domain to impact decision making in the system through analytical and evidence based research. The ultimate objective of the Summer School is to provide the resources for participants to work rigorously on their proposals and develop research papers of high quality. About 25 participants from across India have been selected based on written proposals submitted through a formal application process. Subject experts from Azim Premji University/IHEPA as well as a wide range of partner institutions, including IIM-Ahmedabad, Institute of Development Studies - Kolkata and others, will facilitate the Summer School as well as support authors to develop their work into a full paper for presentation at the forthcoming annual IHEPA conference and subsequently for publication.
