  • Day 2, Monday 14 November 2016, Government Boys School, Attibele. Children's Literature Festival on Children's Day! Activity Centres, Book-readings, Meet the Author, Book exhibition, and more. All-day event! Open to all!
  • Day 3, Tuesday 15 November 2016. Teacher Learning Centre, Sarjapura. Workshops for teachers on Library use, and Reading Literature.

The theme this year is Creating Spaces for Reading Literature. During the three days, we will explore:

  • Can young children be introduced in meaningful ways to literature?
  • Can teachers be introduced to (and convinced about) its power and relevance to the lives of their young students?
  • Can teachers’ interests be broadened so that they start looking beyond textbooks and examinations?
  • How can we build spaces, and strengthen existing spaces, for reading literature – both for students and teachers?

Read more here in the Background and Concept Note of the Festival. And stay tuned for more details!
